When is the right time to measure?

.It is used the same method as anthropometric parameters to measure body composition. 2 to 4 times in a year but it depends on the age and the growth rate of athletes. When the athlete is younger, his/her body experiences more changes and more testing is needed. When the athlete is older, the body experiences less changes and as a result less testing is needed.

Purpose

To follow and analyze the process of growth, physical development and evaluate the body fat of an athlete.

Procedure

-Measurment of body composition should be done in the morning -The tester pinches the skinfold between his thumb and index finger with his left hand at the appropriate site in the order to raise a double layer of skin and the underlying adipose tissue, but not the muscle mass. -The caliper is held in the right hand, when the skinfold is lifted 1 cm, the result is recorded -8-site of the body measured 1. Triceps 2. Biceps 3. Subscapular 4. Suprailliac 5. Supraspinale 6. Abdominal 7. Thigh 8. Calf
